Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My dad passed away over 4 months ago, and now it is just my mom, sister, and me. My mom has been very controlling and has emotionally abused me. Now, she is allowing my older brother to act as a parent. He is yelling at me constantly, getting in my face, and he took of my bedroom door. Can my mom allow him to do this legally?

I'm sorry you lost your dad. Your mom is probably in serious need of counseling to help her deal with the loss of her husband and your father.

I believe your mother is suffering from severe trama with the loss of your dad. Since you have not mentioned ages, I believe you would need to contact the Department of Family and Children, explain your current situation and have them come in to investigate. Also ask them for relocation with one of your relatives until this matter can be resolved. More than likely your brother will feel betrayed and retaliate against you. Be safe.
