Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

divorce

I've been divorced for 10 years and the decree had an order for me to provide health care for my wife and son. I've always had coverage for my son but not my wife. Now she is trying to petition the court for me to provide health care because she is self employed. Also I have been paying spousal support for the entire 10 years. My question is: Can the court enforce me to provide healthcare for her and can this be enforced without a subpoena?

If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

According to your post, the court has already ordered you to provide the health care coverage in the final decree. There is no further action necessary in order to do so. Your failure to comply with the court order could result in your ex wife filing for a Rule to Show Cause why you should not be held in contempt of court for failing to comply. Serious penalties could result including payment of her attorney's fees and court costs and even incarceration.

Re: divorce

Depending on the circumstances the court can require you to provide her with health.
