Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Domestication Papers

I was served papers to appear in Florida for court from my ex-husband. I live in Va and I had gotten domestication papers filed here, which mean Va enforces my papers. Florida doesn't have any jurisdiction on them now. Will I still need to go to court in Florida? How does that work? Please help me.

Re: Domestication Papers

Send a letter to the Florida Court with a copy of your papers indicating that the Virginia Courts now have jurisdiction over your case and, therefore, the Florida matter should be dismissed,

and that you will be reserving your trip to Florida for another, more seasonable date.
