Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Entitled to Husband's Work Comp

Married 8 years. Husband to receive South Carolina work comp settlement and back pay in Texas work comp settlement. Am I entitled to receive at a minimum one-half of both of these claims? Also has an EEOC lawsuit for wrongful termination and discrimination. Entitled also?

Husband says he will get alimony from me. I made him leave house because of affair he was having and verbal abuse. Have no funds for attorney. Will attorney take case and seek fees from husband or get fees from any settlement I get? Clearwater, Florida

Re: Entitled to Husband's Work Comp

You need to contact Legal Aid ASAP. As a general rule in Florida you have no interest in any workres compensation settlement. Husband may be entitled to keep it all. You need to consult with an attorney who is knowledgeable of the Weisfeld case.
