Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

can my exwife take our two young sons, 6yrs. and 9yrs. out of the country to live in Jordan without my permission when we have shared custody? She has primary custody and I have them at certain times of the year such as summer or holidays when they are out of school.

Thanks,

Florida Statute 61.13001 forbids the permanent moving of children more than 50 miles from the other parent. If you have evidence (an email or letter or phone message or something) to suspect that she will move, you may want to get a lawyer and file for an emergency injunction against her. Though the U.S. has good relations with Jordan generally, Jordan is notorious for refusing to obey international law regarding the return of children to foreign countries.

In other words, unless you are Jordanian or have connections to Jordan, if the children are taken to Jordan, you will probably not see them again.
