Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Fathers Right

I am a father of a child born out of wedlock, several years ago I prevented the child mother from relocating out of state with her new husband and my child. Now three years later, I may have to relocate

to another city for employment reasons. I have maintained regular visits on a weekly basis with my child as well as fufilling all my financial obligations related to my child,my question is:

If I no longer reside in the same city as my child and I still maintain a regular visitation schedule and continue to meet all financial obligatons to my child, how will it affect me. Can the mother go ahead and relocate out of state?

Re: Fathers Right

Based on the information provided, your wife can probably relocate to another state for employment reasons. Unless there is some other reason such move would adversely affect the children, the court will not stop her relocation.
