Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I filled for paternity and a supervised parenting plan last July, we have gone to the point of mediation later this month there has been a guardian ad litem also. Amy Wells the mother called me on Friday and said that her husband is leaving her and she doesn't want to fight for custody anymore she said she knows Jena is better off with me, she is ready to sign papers to close the case she also said she wont be able to make it to the mediation. my question is how easy is it to close this case if she agrees for me to have custody? can i file another parenting plan that she signs and send it to the judge?

thanks for your help

If she signs off on an agreement re: custody/timesharing, after that a final hearing is held and a final judgment is entered. You would need to set a hearing before the judge once you've filed the signed agreement. How quickly this happens depends on your judge's calendar.
