Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am a grandmother of 5 and live in with my daughter and son-in-law who are the parents of 4 of my grandchildren. I leave for work at a certain time and my daughter informed me that she was going to be later than my time to leave for work. The father will be at work at this time. I was told to go ahead and leave for work and leave the children with the oldest who is 10. My question is who is liable for the children being left alone the parents or the grandmother?

What do you mean by "liable"? Do you mean, "who could be sued?" or "who could get into trouble with the police or DCF"? There is no Florida law against leaving kids at home with a 10-year-old.

It is illegal to do that the State will take the kids and the parents will be liable to the authorities. If it is your house and an injury occurs then you are liable too.
