Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

my ex husband owes $10,900 in back child support. I just learned he will be receiving a large sum of money on an inheritance. Apparently the state that the money is coming from will not send 2 checks. one for him and one to child support. How can I make sure the back support will be paid.
