Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am married . We are temporary caregivers for my grandson. My husband is not his biological grandfather. My grandson is a ward of the state. I want to adopt my grandson my husband does not want to adopt him but will take care of him as long as he is here. Can I adopt him myself?

yes you can. I believe he does not wish to do this in order to avoid child support if a divorce happens in the future.
