Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Mother was given residential custody but gave child to her mother...

My son has been living at his grandmothers house for the last several years. He is going to be 9 this month. His mother was given residential custody when I divorced her with the understanding that my son live with her. Right after court, she shuttles him over to her mothers house, where he has been living all along. I pay child support to my x which doesn't even reside in the same county where my son lives. I want him to live with my wife and I and he has expressed the same. The grandmother has stated she would go to her grave before she gave him up. I can't change the child support to go to the grandmother because she's not a legal guardian, and I can't get him on HEALTHY KIDS insurance because he doesn't live with me. My x has told me repeatedly time and time again that she was going to get our child from her mother and it's 4 years now, and he's still living at grandma's. My x has another husband and 2 children from him, yet she takes my child support I pay for my son and spends it on her own needs. I'm stuck! I can't afford a lawyer for my salary won't support that AND child support every month which is $369.00. I want my son to live with me as much as he want's to be here. HELP!

Seek modification of the custody order in the best interests of the child.
