Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Public filings?

My uncle in Florida (West Palm beach - 33406) borrowed a significant sum of money from me in order to settle a dispute with his wife and file for divorce. I asked for his house as collateral. He failed to send me a document and he later told me that his wife took the money from his joint account (stupid! and I am not sure I believe him). He claims he is suing his wife and has served her with a summons. Are these documents public (summons, lawsuit?)? If so, How can I find a copy to verify what he is telling me?

Much of what people need in regards to court records is available online today. Although I do not practice in Palm Beach County, a quick Google search gave the site of the Clerk of the Court. One of the listings on the Clerk's site is for Civil Court information. This could have been found with just a few minutes worth of work on your part. It can be found at:

I hope this helps. In the future, you may wish to invest a few minutes to search the internet by yourself.
