Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

How can I best represent myself in the courtroom?

I took my ex back to court for additional child support after 10 years and he turned it into a child custody battle. We now have an emergency custody hearing set because he claimed that I am an unfit parent. Now, my attorney, who has a very bad reputation anyway, withdrew from the case. I don't have $2000 to retain an attorney because I am disabled and on limited income. Can you tell me if there is any info out there on how a non-attorney should represent themselves? What rules of conduct are there in a courtroom? THank you

I suggest that you contact the Legal Aid office in your community.

You should review the Family Law Rules of Procedure in your local law library. The Rules also contain forms and general information.
