Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My rights as a father..

I wrote in before and was told to get something, but I don't remember what it was. But my daughters mother has now stopped talking to me all together. Needless to say I can't see my baby girl, what should I do about this? Thank You..

Re: My rights as a father..

I can not tell what your original question was, but it appears that you are involved in a custody dispute and the Mother is refusing visitation. In order to enforce your parental rights, you probably need to file a Petition to Establish Custody and Visitation. Obtaining a court order detailing visitation can cut down on the fighting over when you can see your daughter, and allow you to get sanctions against the mother if she does not comply with the order.

Get an attorney. Unless there is a good legal reason to prevent you from seeing your child, you should be able to get standard visitation on weekends and alternating holidays.
