Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My son will turn 18 years old next month, her girlfriend is 5 months pregnant but they are not married and she loves my son.He in in jail and was sent to a 6 months boot camp program, I dont know when he will be out. Her mom is arrasing my husband and me with not seeing the baby and do not let us help the baby's mom which is in bad financial situation, cause she lives in a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 brothers (11, 7 and 5 years old) and her stepfather. Besides that her mother is 2 months pregnant and she dosent work. What we can do?. Are we aloud to request my grandson custody? Thank you
