Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My son's girlfriend left two months ago saying she did not like her life as a mother and moved out. I quit my job to take care of my granddaughter. Yesterday she came to tell us that she is moving to Sarasota and wants to take the baby with her. I feel the baby will not be safe with her. She is moving in with two men she has only known a couple of months and I know she is taking drugs. Please let me know how to go about helping my son get custody. Thank you.

The fact that she left you should have applied THEN to get custody. HOwever, file a Petiton for emergency custody - state the reasons and run NOW to the court to do this.
