Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Civil County Court Law Suit

I lent my exboyfriend a series of loans from March 1998 to August 1998 with an unpaid balance of $10,285 in Broward County, Florida. He agreed to pay back all monies by August, 1998 and has not. This is too large a sum for small claims court and the easy paperwork associated with that. The county court said they had no forms and that I needed to research the format to use or get a lawyer. I can not afford the $3000 fee for a lawyer. Is there a format to follow where I can fill in the blanks to file this civil case? Thank you.

Re: Civil County Court Law Suit

To begin with every lawyer won't cost you $3,000 but notwithstanding that yes there are some forms you can use. You can go to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure or you can look up forms here on lawguru. Just to let you know it will cost you $200 to file suit. If you want some help feel free to e-mail me.
