Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Destroyed Car

I bought a car. I don't have a liscence so I put the car in my friends name. He wrecked the car and the insurance was basic. I have the bank statements that prove that I bought the car. Can I get the money for the car from him? He also pawned the stereo for the car. Again I have the bank statement. I also have the reciept. Do I have a case for either. I also have witnesses.

Re: Destroyed Car

Car ownership comes with certain responsibilities; you will have to prove the accident was entirely his fault and that the car wasn't a gift. That means a lawsuit.

People do buy cars for other people and then register the car in the other person's name. Usually its the only reason to do it.
