Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I was engaged at the time and co-signed for a student loan through Salie Mae with my now current ex-fiance. I have made most of the payments and they have not made one. I have tried several times to contact them with no response. I am asking of I have a case to have my name legally removed from the loan or I am able to have a civil lawsuit to go after him for the price of the loan. This loan as had put a negative report on my credit report. Any help would be appreciated.

You are stuck on the loan as a co-signer. You can sue him.

You are stuck as a co-signer on the note. Your excuse does not get you off. You can and should sue him for the loan amounts that you have paid.

You can sue him, but you cannot remove your name.
