Not under the law. It used to customary practice that if the women broke off the engagement, she was supposed to return the engagement ring to her fiancee. Conversely, if the man broke off the engagement, then she got to keep it. But that is just common courtesy in the past. This old custom is not enforceable in any way under Florida law. Florida does not recognize contracts to marry and, if it ever did, it probably has not for done so since at least the early 20th century.
