Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Gross misconduct

Son held 4 stealing a purse in school.I went to his school to find out what had happened.I found out that my son had nothing to do with this and that in fact he was not even in the class or anywhere near it at the time. The purse was taken during 1st period and he does not have that class until second period.I made them show me the security tape and it clearly shows he had nothing to do with it.They put him through questioning and detention at the school and no one bothered to check his schedual and realize that he is on the other side of the building during this event. They were still checking all the students of that 1st period class and the tape clearly shows him and other students being prevented from entering the class during the ivestigation.Security grandstanded and pulled him out of the cafeteria and he was agressively questioned without anyone bothering to either check his schedual or take a close look at the tape showing him arriving after the entire incident happened. He is now extremely distraught over this thing as he believes some students have heard bits and pieces of this and rumors fly rampant when things like this happen.Thie it seems is gross neglegence on their behalf and the school never contacted me.Action ?

Re: Gross misconduct

sounds like he was unharmed. The court system, in my judgment, is not really designed to handle these matters. Your best recourse is to personally appear and complain to the school administration, the schoiol board, and -- if the police were involved -- to them as well.
