Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I moved to Florida almost 2 years ago. When I moved here I had furniture and a motorcycle I could not keep where I was living. I had a friend that had property and they agreed to keep my belongings with them "as long as I needed" . They moved and my belongings went with them. I saw them last in November. Now I am trying to get my belongings back and they have turned off all their cell phones, deleted their email addresses and appear to be avoiding all my attempts to contact them. I just want my belongings back. What can I do?

You can sue them in civil court for an action called conversion. Plainly put conversion is when someone takes your belongings and refuses to return them.
