Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

If a person is the key witness to a million plus dollar civil lawsuit can that person demand or ask for a monetary sum to cover what that person believes is the most important testimony to win or lose a case? I have been asked to testify in a civil case which would keep the company from haveing to pay a million or more dollars from another company who is sueing. I know my testimony is the key to win or lose so can I request to be paid or get paid for my testimony?

You are required to testify truthfully and to sell testimony would be a violation of law.
