Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

vehicle title

I have a car that is registered and titled to both my x fiance and myself. I am curious as to what I can do. I do not want the car anymore...I want her to sell it but she refuses to do anything but sit on it.

If you cannot pay it and other debts, bankruptcy can be considered.

Re: vehicle title

If the vehicle is not in use, then you may want to sell it and give her half of the profits from the sale. If she is the only one of the two of you using the vehicle then you may want to sue her to pay you half of what the car is worth, since she is committing a "trespass to chattels" or more easily understood as she is converting the property to her sole ownership by witholding it from you and using it to personally benefit her.
