I had a bad experince at a salon awhile back. The salon comped my next cut.

I went back 3 weeks ago and got an Hispanic stylist who didn't speak or understand English very well. There were only 2 in the salon. The other one was with a customer.

I have very long hair , about 6 inches from my waist. I'm 49. I've had it this long since my 20's, give or take a couple inches.

I told the stylist to take 2 or 3 inches off, which is usually what I always tell them. Just the dead ends, you know.

Before I could see what was going on, she'd lopped off about 10 or 12 inches! I was devistated. I didn't realize how much was taken off until I left the salon and tried to put it back in a ponytail- and I couldn't find it! I was and am still sick about this.

I contacted there HQ's and they contacted the store. The store Emailed and left a voicemail and wanted me to contact them and offered me another free cut.

I never want to go to this place again! It'll take a couple of years to grow back.

Do I have a case against this place?

Probably not one that makes any real sense to pursue. There will be a dispute over what you said and what you requested and a jury is not likely to find much damage in taking off 10 inches instead of 3.
