If you made a mistake by incorrectly listing your own U.S. address, you may want to call USCIS at 1-800-375-5283. They may be able to advise you as to where you should write a letter to have it corrected. This will be important to do as your case progresses in the future.

Your petition can be simply rejected and mailed back to you (with the filing fee check and eerything else inside). You can't call to USCIS 800 number unless your petition was actually accepted for processing and you were issued a receipt (and have a receipt number). In case of mailing a petition to a wrong address, they usually return it to you and you can resubmit it again to a correct office/address.

Sometimes, USCIS office can forward a petition to a correct office/address, but it's more of an exception, not a rule.
