Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

Doctors sent my son to an imaging co. for an MRI. They and the MRI Co. didn't get proper prior authorization from my insurance co. The ins. co. won't pay it now and the MRI Co. wants us to.

Doc office has told us the Ins. co changed his approval requirements and didn't tell him. MRI Co we had been to before because my son has a history of migraines and acute sinusitis. He was having blackouts and disorientation episodes. The MRI showed nothing. He has had an MRI and CAT scan in his life and I don't remember paying anything. Can they come after us for this money?

yes. It is your obligation, not the doctor's to handle insurance issues and approvals. Until the government gets health insurance companies under control they will always be finding ways to screw you.

I think you have a valid argument against MRI Co.
