Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

Someone filed a case against me in their state's USDC. If I wanted to file a counterclaim, is that filed in my states appropriate USDC or am I forced to file it in California even though I do not live there and the court lacks personal jurisdiction?

You may want to file a Motion to Dismiss for lack of jurisdiction in Cal. You can file your own complaint here, but if you counterclaim in Cal you will likely waive your claim to lack of jurisdiction. For more information check out our website www.behrenlaw.com
