Remember Napster? Remember how it used to be a free music swapping site, and now it is a pay site? That's because they got sued (big time) by the copyright owners, and the copyright owners also went after individual downloaders/users.

Without knowing the site or its terms, I can't tell you the legality. But, you should be very, very careful. If smells (reeks, in fact) of copyright infringement.
