Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

Question about buying and selling internet domain names......

There is an extra set of terms and conditions that you have to agree to when you register a .us domain, plus you also have to provide personal info. My purpose in buying a domain is to sell it for a profit and be done with it. After I sell a .us domain, am I still associated with it? Can I get into trouble if the person who buys the .us domain misuses it?

As a Franchise Attorney I'll give you an analogy. If you sell your car to someone, and they go out and kill someone with their new car, would you, the former owner, be responsible? Same situation here, unless you sign something agreeing otherwise. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
