Rights on getting someone pregnant

My so got his gf pregnant & doesn't have a job. Until he gets one what is his rights as a father? If he can't afford to pay now what should he do & what is his rights now?

He has no rights now under Florida law. Until a court order is issued declaring him the legal father, he has no right to visitation or custody. He should speak with a lawyer regarding filing a paternity case to establish his rights. Of course, when he does this, he'll be ordered to pay child support (unless he becomes the primary parent), but if he doesn't establish child support, the mother will probably file soon, anyway.
