depisition

If my 17 yr. has appt. to give dep. but cant make the appt. (to laweyers office) is he in contempt of court?

It depends on if it is just an appointment, whether he has been subpoenaed, and whether there is a court order compelling attendance. You won't technically be in contempt unless there is a court order; however, not showing up without warning can cause some judges to impose some penalties. Call the lawyer that scheduled the deposition and explain your problem. Almost always, the deposition can be rescheduled. Make the effort to do so, don't just not show up.
