Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I evacated my apartment because failure to pay. I explained everything to the landlord. I started moving things out on a Sunday. Returned on Tuesday to finish and clean, but lock were changed. Can they do this?

If the sheriff executed the writ of possession, then yes they can.

Sorry but yes this can be done. I suggest you contact your former landlord and ask if you may retrieve the items left - he may have removed them and sold for past rent and/or damages.
