Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I cannot get my landlord to return my calls,or repair roof leak& plumbing leaks septic tank backs up every time it rain, raw sewage come out of ground at rear of house,awful smell,this was a rent to own deal but he won't come buy to talk to me or return my calls, can I get some help I am drawing disability and money is very limited, any help would be a appreciated thank you Charles Thompson

Your lease agreement controls. The statutes do provide a method to withhold rent for failure to provide these services which the landlord us responsible to provide. Seek a consult with an attorney to get it done properly. All should be done in writing.
If you are not responsible for the plumbing portion of your lease, then call the health department and let them go after him. s to the roof, if again you are not responsible for the maintenance, contact the housing department and have them come out and view. They can fine him for every day not corrected. In the meantime you might want to consider moving somewhere else.
