Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Loud Music in Complex

My Lanlord just gave me a letter saying that I violated the lease and disturbed my neighbors with loud music until 3am and if I dont behave, in 7 days of the notice, I need to vacate to premises.

I am not the one making this kind of noise and the neighbors are mistaken with my apartment number. Because the apartment walls are so thin, we can hear almost everything. I have been hearing the loud music too but I haven't complain. The Landord made this acusation and it made me real nervous because I don't want them to terminate my tenancy because of this misunderstanding. What can i do if this noise keep going and they keep acusing me? What can I do before this could happen?

Make sure to document in writing that the noise is coming from another apt. unit. Send the landlord a letter and keep a copy for yourself.

Simple, tell the landlord it's not coming from your apartment. If you know where it is coming from then tell the landlord.

Re: Loud Music in Complex

Go to the neighbor and the landlord and let them know the facts. You'll need to let the know who is making the noise.
