I moved in to a apartment complex a little over a week ago, four days after being here i was assaulted by a resident and out in to the hospital, can i sue the apartment complex?

The answer, in short, is that it depends -- on many factors. I would suggest gathering up a copy of your lease plus any police reports and medical records you have, and sitting in with an attorney who can hear your entire story, ask pertinent questions, and be able to advise you of your options.

Ms. Conlin is correct, however you can sue the resident who assaulted you for your medical expenses. Contact the police and have them arrest him. The state will pretty much do the rest.
