Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I have a roommate, who is on the lease. who has gone MIA for about two weeks now. no contact, no answered/returned calls or text or emails. He's in another city "escorting" (a nicer way to say prostituting). He hasn't come up with rent in month and even for a short stint was dealing drugs @ the local nightclubs. all of which he never was arrested for. My leasing office says the only way to get him off is by both of us signing the roommate release. if there is no contact and i just don't want him comming back or even into the apartment. how can i get him off my lease the quickest way without the roommate release form?

Hire an attorney to file suit against him for non-performance under the lease. Ask the court for injunctive relief to bar him from the apartment, until back rent is paid. If you get a judgment and injunction, then he will be motivated to sign off his rights under the lease, in exchange for release of the judgment.
