Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

car towing

I woke up today and my apartment complex had my car towed. When I asked the office about it, they said they had left a message on my front door a week ago stating that anyone parked on that section would be towed this day if they didn't move their car. I recieved no such notice, and now I have to pay to get my car back. Is what they've done illegal?

Re: car towing

I doubt its criminal but they may be sued civily if they did not follow the Florida Statue.

A main thing I have been successful on in towing cases is if the property did not have the proper 'tow away' zone signs that complied with statute on each car access to the property.

How long ago did they claim they put the notice on your door before the towing. The florida statute allows for attorney fees to be paid by the defendent in the event the plaintiff is successful.
