Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

No Fault Auto Accidents, Who's to blame and who pays the bill?

On Oct. 2 my auto ins. cancelled. On Oct. 14, my mother in law was in an accident where the police said "No Fault". The other drv. sustained a laseration on the head. Now, I am being sent a letter by the other drv's attorney. suggesting my mthr in law was at fault and i'm sure they are trying to get money. how can they sue if it is considered no fault by the police. how can i defend against it.

The finding by the police is only for criminal purposes. It does not have any civil enforcement. The question of who was at fault would go to a jury if the case proceeds that far.

Why was the insurance canceled? I would notify your insurance company of the claim and wait for them to deny their duty to defend in writing.
