Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

You said you need more information concerning my husbands accident well he was following a construction pickup who had his forway flashers on and the truck did an illegal u-turn in front of him he layed the bike down which it slid 30 ft. before it hit the truck it is a very large construction company out of Tampa and I know they have a million dollar policy my husband who we only just found out has nerve damage in his left leg but as I said before the lawyer states the case is closed and their is nothing more he can do he states my husband told him to close the case and that is not what he told him he told him to see what he could get but I have to talk to my wife first But the lawyer closed the case but we are not signing anything he already has a check at his office and he said it is settled and there is no more he can do He said if we don't sign it soon either the insurance company will throw out the case or we will get a letter from the judge telling us it is finished and make us sign I don't believe this I told him he could go back to the insurance company and explain that he miss understood us and some new problem has come up and we need to talk about more compansation for my husbands chronic pain and suffering everyday that he has to go through due to the nerve damage from someone elses neglogents If you can help me I don't know what to do I will call and talk to you if you want or feel it would be better I hope you can help Sincerely Leona

Without your written consent, the case cannot settle. You can always contact another attorney for a second opinion. If your attorney advised the judge the case was settled, he can then advise it is not and continue.
