It could take a really long time, depending on many factors. Your attorney should be able to give you a better answer. If you are handling this case yourself, then you need an attorney.

Anywhere from several weeks to several years! Your attorney should be able to explain to you what all goes in to resolving a slip and fall case. I am assuming you are injured. You need to continue to treat until your doctor determines that you are at "maximun medical improvement". Your lawyer will then send a demand letter with the medical bills to the insurance company. At this time, there may be a resolution and if not, your lawyer may then decide to file suit.

It is important to stay patient and to follow the advice of your attorney.

Good Luck,
