Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

mortar wound

while watching fireworks on the 4th of july a individual [unknown to me] shot off a mortar from a rocket launcher exploding and going off into my leg causing a 3'' hole with 3rd degree burns. Infection set in causing me to have surgery, and being in the hospital for a week. I am now on a wound vac for the next 8-10 weeks. what is this case worth, and being self-employed how do I get by with no income coming in? and yes I like many others have no insurance. what do I do to get by in the mean time?

Re: mortar wound

you likely want to consult a local personal injury attorney to evaluate your claim. a multitude of factors weigh in on the value of your claim, and so I cannot give you a realistic value. those factors include your medical bills, whether you have any responsibility, whether we are talking about value for settlement or trial, and whether the person shooting off the mortar has insurance covering him for the incident, as well as other factors. I, like other lawyers, am able to work with doctors to help get my clients treatment while awaiting the resolution of a case. I am located in miami and handle matters throughout south florida and would be more than happy to provide you with a free consultation. If you are not located near me, i could refer you to an attorney who handled matters in your area. please feel free to give me a call at 305.357.0296 or you can send me an email to discuss further.
