If you slip and fall because the surface is wet can you sue?

As with many legal questions, the answer is "it depends". It depends on how the surface got wet, how long it had been wet, whether the degree of "wetness" was obvious. If the floor or other surface was wet because of the negligence of some other party, then you may have a legal claim. I would need to know a lot more details to give any more definite answer. You should be aware that the Florida statute of limitations, i. e., time limit, for filing a personal injury lawsuit based on negligence is 4 years from the date of injury.
