Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

attorney jurisdiction

We're purchasing a house, and an attorney licensed in the state of New Jersey was selected by the lender to hold our deposit in escrow. But we, the attorney, and the house we're purchasing are in Florida. Can this attorney handle the escrow? And if so, in what state would be applicable law regarding the transaction?
