Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

construction lien

I would like to have some advise, we are a victim of construction fraude. We paid a contractor in full for work (I even gave the workers a cash bonus to buy a beer!) done on pouring a concrete patio. After 6 weeks we received a notice from the supplier of the concrete that he was not paid for the materials and that they are going to put a lien on our house. What can we do? This is so unfair. In the notice that we received our name was completely misspelled, it does not even look like our name. There was not a notice of commencement filed. What can we do against the contractor? please help

thanks

anne

Re: construction lien

I would suggest you call me monday or e-mail how I can contact you . This is an statutory notice that could result in you paying twice for the same work.
