Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Disputed rent

I am in dispute with my landlord over rental payments. I would like to escrow my rent payments until the matter is settled. What di I have to do at the courthouse to set this up? Thank you.

talk to the clerk of court and ask to speak to the registry department. There will be a slight fee.

Re: Disputed rent

Talk to the clerk's office and let them know that you want to deposit the rent in the registry of the court, and they should guide you through the process. There will be a modest fee for this service. Once you have done so, file a notice with the court (and send a copy to the landlord) advising the court and the opposing party that the rent has been deposited with the court pending the resolution of your landlord-tenant dispute.
