Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

my father owns 10 acres of land he bought, he gave me 2 acres.plus he gave my brothers 2 acres each.I have been living on the 2 acres for 18 years.my father refuse to put my 2 acres in my name. when ever I do something my parents dont like my mom puts a foursale sign up.i need to no if i have any legal rights to my 2 acres.i dont want 2 move neither do my kids,this is the only home they know. can u help me or send me to someone who can.

Real property must be conveyed in writing. Your only hope is the " adverse possession" theory. Speak with local counsel to see if you can qualify.

As the attorney above said, your only chance is to claim adverse possession. You would need to speak with an attorney to figure out if you have a shot at trying to get the land under that theory. Regards,
