Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I live in Melbourne Florida. My next door neighbor yelled at my wife the other day when I was at work. Giving her a piece of paper with a guys phone number on it to trim a tree. There is a large maple tree at the end of my property that over hangs his whole house. ( Which him and a family member planted many years ago) He tried to tell her that it is our responsibility to trim the tree back because if during hurricane season. If a branch were to fall on his house our through the window our hit his car. It would not be covered. This of course I don't believe because it state's in my homeowners insurance that it is covered. He threatened her that if we did not have this done, He was going to get a certified letter.

Is it my responsibility to trim the tree off of his property back to my property line? And to be sure Does homeowners insurance cover a tree falling on your neighbors house?

Please help. Thank you. :)
