Neighbor caused buyers to cancel contract on our home before closing

We had a contract on our home and when the buyers son stopped over to meet his parents he parked on the street/grass of our neighbors to keep our driveway clear, as we were still moving. The neighbors were very, very rude and would not accept apology as well as used unacceptable language and stated they were not welcome in the neighborhood for parking on their grass. We and the buyers tried to work it out the following morning which turned out almost worse than the previous eves events. The buyers then decided not to close/purchase the home. Surveys and inspections were done and closing was only 2 days away. Now home is still on the market. Do we have any legal recourse?

Probably not against the neighbors. There is a cause of action called tortious interference with a contract but it sounds like your neighbors did not try to ruin the agreement or convince the purchasers to not contract with you, but instead, were yelling because the purchasers parked on your neighbor's lawn. However, you may have recourse against the purchasers for breaching their contract with you. You may wish to consult a local attorney in this regard. Best of Luck.
