Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I have been putting in work orders to my landlord since March of this year. I still haven't had anything fixed. I told the office manager that I was withholding the rent until the problems were fixed. Later that week I received a eviction notice. Can they legally evicted me?

Yes they can. You had a statutory basis for holding rental under sect. 83.56 but you did not do that. you need to pay all rental claimed in the eviction to get an opportunity to argue your case.

Pay the rent into court and comply with FS83.56.
